Unfair treatment by Air Peace to the South East

Nigerian Actor and Others Speak Out Against Unfair Treatment by Air Peace toward Igbo Passengers

A group of concerned individuals, including a Nigerian actor, have voiced their strong disapproval of the unjust treatment experienced by fellow Igbo passengers at the hands of Air Peace. The outcry was prompted by a narrative shared by an Igbo individual, who emphasized the principle of charity beginning at home.

The issue at hand revolves around the stark contrast in fares charged by Air Peace, with one Igbo passenger being quoted 266,000 naira for a journey lasting less than 45 minutes, while the same airline charges 150,000 naira for a 2-hour journey from Lagos to Maiduguri. Many have raised questions about this glaring disparity, expressing their dismay and describing it as extremely unfair and bordering on outright wickedness.

In response to this treatment, there has been growing sentiment among Igbo community members, with some contemplating boycotting Air Peace flights or calling for the airline to cease operations in the Southeast region. The prevailing call is for unity against such discriminatory practices, with Igbo individuals seeking equality rather than special treatment.

The message directed towards Allen Onyema, the Chairman of Air Peace, is clear: the perceived injustice towards Igbo passengers must be addressed promptly, or the South East region may take further action to resist such treatment. The community is adamant about being treated with the same fairness and equality that the airline extends to passengers from the northern region.
