Police Arrested After Receiving $3000 USDT and Transporting Individual Across States
Following a Twitter report by @HarrisonBbi18, it was alleged that police officers from the Rivers State Police Command traveled from Port Harcourt to ABA, Abia State to apprehend an individual. The officers then transported the individual to Rivers State, Bayelsa State, and Ughelli, Delta State before returning him to Port Harcourt after receiving 3000USDT. Additionally, a video statement was posted on the same Twitter handle.
Upon learning about the incident, state Commissioner of Police, CP Tunji Disu, ordered an immediate investigation, resulting in the identification and arrest of the officers involved. SP Grace Iringe-Koko, ANIPR Police Public Relations Officer for the Rivers State Police Command, stated that the outcome of the investigation will be made public.
