INEC yet to learn from their past mistakes

Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Chimaobi Sam Atu, representing Enugu North and South Federal Constituency, has expressed deep concern over what he perceives as serious mismanagement of the electoral process in the suspended bye-elections in Enugu South Urban constituency. Hon. Atu stated that the election was marred by substantial mismanagement due to the apparent reluctance of the electoral body to conduct a free, fair, and credible election.

In his assessment, Atu voiced his disappointment regarding the apparent failure of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to learn from past mistakes. He expressed dismay at the significant waste of resources during the electoral process and emphasized the fact that taxpayer’s money was squandered in the process. As the elected representative for the area, Hon. Atu asserted his responsibility to monitor the election and ensure the interests of the constituents are upheld.

By highlighting these concerns, Hon. Atu is emphasizing the need for accountability and transparency in the electoral process, and as a representative of the people, he is advocating for the responsible use of public resources and a commitment to free, fair, and credible elections.
