The newly elected senators sworn in by the senate president

During Tuesday’s plenary session, Senate President Godswill Akpabio presided over the swearing-in of three newly elected senators. The lawmakers who took the oath are Mustapha Musa (All Progressives Congress, representing Yobe East), Professor Anthony Ani (All Progressives Congress, representing Ebonyi South), and Prince Pam Mwadkon (Action Democratic Party, representing Plateau North). The Senate Clerk, Mr. Chinedu Akubueze, administered the oath at approximately 11:41 a.m., after which the new senators were escorted to their designated seats. With the addition of these three senators, the composition of the Senate in terms of lawmakers and their respective political parties stands as follows: APC – 59, PDP – 37, LP – 7, NNPP – 2, SDP – 2, APGA 1, and ADP – 1.
