Terrorists disguised as women in Abaya attire abducted 26 individuals
in the Runka community area of Katsina State over the weekend, with most of the victims being women and children.
The Chairman of Safana Local Government Area in Katsina State, Abdullahi Sani Safana, confirmed the kidnapping While stating that 22 locals were taken, he mentioned that some managed to escape the abductors who took them by surprise by wearing women’s Abaya attire.
The DPO in the area has mobilized operatives and soldiers to initiate a rescue operation following the abduction, aiming to secure the safe return of the victims.
According to an eye witness”They abducted a total of 26 people from the community, including 10 females and two males. Even informants within the community were complicit, with one terrorist casually conversing with an informant and indicating their presence in the town.”
