Tragedy Strikes on Agulu-Awgbu Road: Six Lives Lost in Multiple Accident
A devastating multiple accident occurred on Tuesday at Eke Awgbu along Agulu-Awgbu road in Anambra State’s Orumba North Local Government Area, claiming six precious lives and leaving five others injured.
According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the accident involved a BUA truck without registration, a tricycle, and two motorcycles. The truck’s driver, speeding recklessly, experienced brake failure, lost control, and collided with the other vehicles at a checkpoint, resulting in a catastrophic crash.
The FRSC Sector Commander, Adeoye Irelewuyi, confirmed the incident and urged motorists to prioritize safety and speed limits to avoid such tragedies. “Kill the speed now before it kills you,” he emphasized.
The injured victims were rushed to the Referral Health Centre in Awgbu, while the deceased were taken to St. Joseph’s Mortuary in Adazi-Nnukwu. The FRSC offers condole
