Renovation at the Government Technical College in Enugu
The Enugu State Government, led by Governor Peter Mbah, has initiated plans to renovate and upgrade the Government Technical College in Enugu. The Commissioner of Education, Professor Ndubueze mbah, announced this while inspecting the college’s dilapidated facilities. The renovation will transform the college into a modern ICT, mechanical, and electronics training hub, offering courses in motor production, building architecture, and food production.
In addition, a vocational education center will be established to equip professionals with modern skills and ICT industrial knowledge. The college will also offer specialized training in tailoring, fashion designing, and fiber making, promoting multiple industrial training and development in Enugu State.
The Principal of the college, Dr. Chris Isife, expressed gratitude to the Enugu State Government for remembering the institution, which has a rich history and has produced notable alumni, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo. The upgrade is expected to revitalize the college’s curriculum and contribute to the industrial development of Enugu State.”
