Super Eagles’ Win Brings Shame On Rwanda’s Coach

Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup hopes are back on track following a 2-0 win over Rwanda.

The Amavubi fell the Super Eagles in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match-day five encounter at the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali, on Friday night.

Rwanda head coach, Adel Amrouche, could not contain his disappointment following his team’s defeat to the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The Head Coach aired his disappointment which, he said, came with shame.

“There are some things we need to correct in this team. No problem, we lost, but we will regroup and go again in our next game,” Amrouche said during his interaction with the media after the game.

“I am very ashamed today. We cannot put in a performance like this in front of all these fans and the president.”

Rwanda dropped to third position in Group C following the defeat, while Nigeria’s hopes are high on victory.

Victor Osimhen’s first-half brace separated the two teams on the night. He struck in the 11th and 45th minutes, first from Ademola Lookman’s assist, then a sleek solo finish.

The match, which yielded a much needed result was Eric Chelle’s first match as the new Head Coach
